Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a medical condition involving the formation of blood clots in the deep veins of the lower extremities. Typically, these clots form in the large veins of the calf or thigh. DVT can lead to swelling, pain, and tenderness in the affected leg. Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is caused by the formation of blood clots in the deep veins of the legs.
