StrideCare is proud to welcome Dr. Steven Schmitz, DPM of North Texas Foot & Ankle to their network. StrideCare is the largest Texas-based multi-specialty medical network including podiatry, vascular, and wound care providers.
About Steven Schmitz, DPM
With over 1500 procedures and 800 cases on his resume, Dr. Steven Schmitz brings the most up to date training and techniques to North Texas Foot & Ankle. Says Dr. Schmitz, “I have interests in sports medicine, trauma, elective procedures and reconstruction, but I have experience in everything from ingrown nails to bunions and hammertoes, tendon repair, flat foot reconstruction and trauma repair of the lower extremity.”
Dr. Schmitz is committed to listening to and partnering with his patients in their care. He also values the partnership with StrideCare. “Being a part of the largest network of lower extremity providers in Texas, I have the resources to adjust my patients’ treatment plans to best reach their goals.”

After earning his DPM at Barry University in Miami, Florida, Dr. Schmitz served as Chief Resident during his residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He is board-certified and a member of podiatric associations, including Pi Delta Podiatry Honor Society. Dr. Schmitz is enthusiastic about joining his first private practice and providing comprehensive foot and ankle care to his patients. “I love the ability to take someone’s pain away and letting them live their life fully again.”
