About Krystal Broughton
Krystal Broughton, PA-C, RPhS is a board-certified Physician Assistant, with experience in both emergency medicine and the vascular field. She began her medical education at the University of Texas at San Antonio, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2008. After spending two years working in clinical research, Krystal continued her education, earning a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2012. Following her master’s degree, she practiced in emergency medicine in San Antonio, Texas for nine years, working in various leadership positions and spending four years on the operational side. She has now been working in vascular medicine for the past three years.
To pair with her education, Krystal Broughton is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS). She has experience with various types of vascular procedures, including radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound guided sclerotherapy. Krystal is a member of the American Academy of Physican Assistants (AAPA) and the American Vein & Lymphatic Society (AVLS). Krystal is passionate about educating her patients and empowering them to make informed decisions about their health to positively impact their longevity and quality of life.
When she is not working, Krystal enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, exercising, cooking, and tending to her small farm.
