About Wande Pratt, MD, MPH
As managing physician for StrideCare’s South Dallas facility, Dr. Pratt performs state-of-the-art treatments for improving the health and appearance of patients with peripheral arterial disease and lower extremity disorders. Without having to make an incision or require an overnight hospital stay, he eliminates unsightly veins and the symptoms that tend to accompany poor circulation such as heaviness, pain, swelling, fatigue, itching and restlessness.
Dr. Pratt provides patients and their families with both minimally invasive and open vascular surgery procedures. He explains, “Because I am familiar and comfortable with both approaches, I can offer patients more options. In this way, my practice is uniquely patient-centered.”
As a fellowship-trained, board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon, he has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and numerous national and international presentations. He has performed more than 3,000 vascular surgery procedures and is a member of several medical and surgical societies. Dr. Pratt earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and his Medical Doctorate from Harvard Medical School. While earning his medical degree, he also received a Master of Public Health degree.
He completed his General Surgery Residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He also completed an NIH-sponsored T32 research fellowship in vascular surgery at Harvard Medical School and a Clinical Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Pratt prioritizes helping patients look and feel their best. “I enjoy taking care of patients with circulatory problems, establishing long-term relationships with them, and providing advanced level care,” Dr. Pratt says. “Vascular surgery is an evolving field that has a number of options to deliver high quality patient-centered care. At StrideCare, patients and their family members are our top priority, and we will continue to strive to create a family-friendly atmosphere.”
In his free time, he cycles and plays basketball and golf, but most enjoys spending time with his wife, their two young children and their dogs, firing up the grill, and watching professional and college athletics. Dr. Pratt is accepting new patients and welcomes them to the South Dallas location of StrideCare at 2701 S. Hampton Rd, Suite 220b, Dallas, TX 75224.
