Dr. Jinal Mehta, DPM, AACFAS, DABPM joins the growing list of accomplished medical experts at StrideCare, the largest Texas-based multi-specialty medical network. StrideCare’s providers specialize in treating lower-extremity conditions including podiatry, wound care, and arterial and venous vascular disease. Dr. Mehta joins the podiatry practice Premier Foot & Ankle in Frisco, Texas. Additionally, she will see patients at Stonebriar Foot & Ankle also in Frisco, Texas.

Dr. Jinal Mehta is board-certified and highly trained in treating foot and ankle issues. From conservative care to surgical reconstruction, she takes a hands-on approach to help patients achieve lower extremity health goals. “I provide comprehensive foot and ankle care to children, adults, and seniors in all areas of podiatric care. From ingrown toenails, warts, heel pain, tendonitis to diabetic limb salvage, sports medicine, trauma, and elective reconstruction,” she says. She has completed over 1,000 surgical procedures, treating patients in hospitals, clinics, private practice, and even during a medical mission trip to rural Mexico.

Its providers are located across Texas and offer multidisciplinary treatment options for complications involving the legs, ankles, feet, and toes. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Mehta attended Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. She then traveled to New York for a 3-year residency at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park. Dr. Mehta had the opportunity to train with podiatric and orthopedic surgeons in all areas of forefoot and rear foot surgical procedures. In addition, she trained in lower extremity sports medicine with the Athletic Department at Fordham University and spent over 1,000 hours at Comprehensive Wound Healing Centers gaining expertise in diabetic limb salvage and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. She began a chapter of Save a Leg, Save a Life while at school and continues to be an advocate for diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Mehta believes that every patient should be treated as an individual and is an important part of the decision-making process for their own care. “I like to listen to my patient’s unique situations, present the diagnosis, treatment options/plans and work with them together for what is realistic but also medically necessary,” she says. Dr. Mehta understands the importance of developing trusting relationships with her patients and uses her varied work and life experiences to be empathetic, compassionate and understanding. Plus, her speaking skills in Hindi and Gujarati help her communicate with a diversity of patients. Patient satisfaction from desired outcomes is a source of pride for Dr. Mehta, and she is up to the challenge of navigating various medical insurance policies to get the right care for her patients.
